Guy Harold Lambert

October 31, 1893 – March 25, 1986

Funeral services for Guy H. Lambert, 92, of Edmond, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Baggerley Memorial Chapel with burial following at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Sumner. Lambert died Tuesday at the Oklahoma Christian Home.

Born Oct. 31, 1893, in Lynn County, Kan., he lived in Edmond since 1943. He was a retired teacher and superintendent, and had also worked for the state Department of Education for 21 years, retiring in 1964.

He was a veteran of World War I, a member, of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Retired Teachers Association and the First Christian Church. He established and was very active in the Edmond Senior Center.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Lambert of Edmond and G. Wayne Lambert of Fritch, Texas; his daughter, Thelma Sughru of Oklahoma City; his brother, Lloyd Lambert of Perry; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Edmond Senior Center or the Oklahoma Christian Home.
