Irene Bogard

– daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Bogard, was born August 29, 1918, in Smithfield, West Virginia. She had attended school in Hempfling School Dist 38, and Perry High School.

While a student in Perry she has been a member of the Girl Reserves. Her attendance was perfect for three years.

Miss Bogard is interested in the business world and expects to attend business college next fall.

Lillian Irene (Bogard) Marshall

August 29, 1918 – January 3, 2007

Lillian Irene Miller-Marshall, 88 of Columbus, Kansas, passed away at 3:35 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at Medicalodge of Columbus.

She married Tony Joseph Miller on November 27, 1947, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wichita. He preceded her in death December 23, 1971. She later married A.C. Marshall who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters; Joy Domres of Owasso, Oklahoma, Cathy Lynn of Pittsburg, Mary Zwahlen of Manford, Oklahoma, and Jeannie Claycomb of Chicago, two sons; Laverne Miller of Altoona, and Tony Miller Jr. of Pittsburg, one sister; Freda Butler of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Linda E. Martorana-Leach on June 12, 2001, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 6, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Columbus, with Rev. Chrysoston Maung officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery Columbus. Visitation will be held Friday evening January 5, 2007, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home Columbus. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Maude Norton Hospital, Columbus, with Murdock Funeral Home serving as the custodian.
