William Thomas Morgan

October 24, 1916 – April 26, 1975

William T. Morgan, 58, 1107 Holly street, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s hospital at Enid.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Parker chapel with Rev. Hollis Morris, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Morgan was born Oct. 24, 1916, at Folsom, West Virginia. He came to Perry in 1925 and was a 1935 graduate of Perry high school. On August 2, 1936, he and the former Alpha Lucille Thompson were married.

Morgan was a drilling supervisor for Big X drilling company and vice president of Smith Truck Service until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the First Baptist church, a 32nd degree Scottish rite Mason and a Shriner. He had been hospitalized since February 24.

In addition to his wife of the home address, survivors include a brother, Jack P. Morgan, Pampa, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Sharon (Martha) Haralson, Pampa; and an aunt, Mrs. Lillian Potts, Pryor, OK.
