William Bruce Jensen

December 12, 1918 – September 13, 1998

William Jensen, a painting contractor for more than 50 years, died Sunday in Walnut Creek, California. He was 79.

Son of Chris D. and Lula Jensen, he was a native of Perry, Okla. and lived in Oakland for 25 years before moving to Moraga, CA four months ago. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played football. He was a past master of Masons Sequoia Lodge in Oakland. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and a volunteer at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jane; stepdaughter, Kathleen Rapp of Safety Harbor, Fla.; stepson, Clifford Campbell of Danville; sister, Christine Fordyce of Texas; and five grandchildren. His daughter, Cherie Jensen, died previously.

Services: Private, with ashes to be scattered at sea. Arrangements by the Neptune Society, Walnut Creek.
