Carole Dee (Edmondson) Goodspeed

November 3, 1931 – May 24, 2018

Carole Dee Goodspeed was born November 3, 1931 in Perry, Oklahoma to Pete and Edna Edmondson and passed away Friday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 86.

Carole was married to the love of her life, Palmer Goodspeed, and they loved to travel together. When she was younger, Carole worked for the Civil Service at Fort Polk military base. Palmer was in the military so they moved a time or two.

After years of demanding work Carole fully enjoyed being a retired woman. She took naps quite often and enjoyed her crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading. She could get lost in a book for hours. Carole was sweet and kind-hearted person who would drop what she was doing to help someone in need. After retirement she would volunteer her time at the Green Valley Nursing Home as well as the hospital in Perry. She treasured the times she would get to catch up with the ladies that were there while she did their hair and nails.

Survivors include: sister-in-law, Pat Dickey and husband Roger of Forth Worth, Texas; daughter-in-law, Kim Law of Perry, Oklahoma; niece, Rhonda Meyer and her husband Greg of Perry, Oklahoma along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Goodspeed; son, Trey Goodspeed; and her parents, Pete and Edna Edmondson.

She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Services have been entrusted to the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
