William Armond “Buck” Lee

February 16, 1914 – January 18, 1964

William A. “Buck” Lee, 49, died of a heart attack late Saturday night in Norman Municipal Hospital, Norman, Oklahoma.

Born February 16, 1914 in Fredonia, Kansas, Lee was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lee of Perry. He graduated from Perry high school in 1931.

He was a former Linotype operator for The Perry Daily Journal before moving to Norman where he was employed at the the University Press for the past 12 years.

He was a member of the Norman Masonic Lodge number 38, a past high priest of Lion Chapter 24, past illustrious master of Norman council 27, and an office of Norman commandry 38, Knights Templar. He was also a past patron of chapter 41, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rilla, of the home; two daughters, Trudy Lee, Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Treva Lewis, Fort Hood, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Lois Harbison, Great Bend, Kansas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Primrose Funeral Home, with burial and masonic graveside services at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
