L. L. DeNoya

– son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeNoya, was born in Fairfax, Okla., March 27, 1919 and attended the elementary grades and part of high school there.

He entered the Perry schools two years ago when his family moved here and graduated with the class of 1936.

He was a member of the high school band and orchestra and took first place in clarinet in the county contests, when he was in the 9th grade.

L. L. expects to enter the A. and M. College next fall.

Louis Leonard DeNoya

March 27, 1919 – November 11, 2006

Louis Leonard DeNoya, 87, retired from Army, died Saturday. He resided in Saint Marys, Camden, Georgia. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, OK.

DeNoya was born March 27, 1919 in Remington, Oklahoma to Fredrick Joseph and Rose Edith (Cross) DeNoya. He graduated from Perry high school. He enlisted in the Army on June 4, 1941 and retired as a Major November 30, 1965.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy C. (Abney) DeNoya; two sons, Ron Powell and wife Dena of Saint Marys, Georgia and Joe DeNoya and wife, Pam, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Freda Grant.
