Winifred (Brengle) Woodruff
June 13, 1896 – February 2, 1966
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Woodward Presbyterian church for Mrs. Marsh B. (Winifred) Woodruff, 69, former resident of Perry, who died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in a Woodward hospital following a long illness.
Graveside rites will be in Grace Hill cemetery here at 3 p.m. Thursday under direction of the Newton funeral home.
Mrs. Woodruff was born June 13, 1896, in Illinois, and came to Perry at the age of three with her parents, the late Dr. and Mrs. D. D. Brengle.
She taught in the Perry school system about 1918 and later was manager of the telephone company here. Her late husband was manager of the Perry Chamber of Commerce a number of years and they moved to Blackwell in 1944 where he also was manager of the chamber. Later they moved to Woodward where Woodruff was chamber manager until his death in April 1959.
Mrs. Woodruff was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John Dunn of Woodward; two brothers, Quine Brengle of Perry and Dan Brengle of New Orleans; and two grandchildren, Cindy Dunn and John Dunn Jr. of Woodward.
