Maurice Walter Garrett

January 20, 1908 – October 19, 1966

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walla Walla, Wash., for Maurice Garrett, 58, of Walla Walla, a native Noble countyan, who died in Veteran’s hospital Oct. 19 at Walla Walla.

Burial will be in the Desert Lawn Memorial cemetery at Kennewick, Wash.

He was born Jan. 20, 1908, north of Perry to Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Garrett, who preceded him in death. He attended the old Fourdee school and Perry high school. He worked many years as a power lineman and served in the signal corps in Germany during World War II.

He was married Feb. 6, 1943, in Blackwell to the former Gladys Pearl Butler, who preceded him in death. A brother, Jesse, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Jesse Robert Garrett, Kennewick, Wash.; four brothers, Frank, Chauncey, and Delbert, all of the Perry area, and Bill, Lawton; and one sister, Mrs. Chris Woyke, also of Perry.
