Edna D. (Mugler) Laird

July 14, 1904 – November 24, 1985

Services for Edna D. Laird, 81, who Sunday died at home, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Presbyterian Church of the Roses, Santa Rosa.

Mrs. Laird was born in Oklahoma pn July 14, 1904 to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mugler. She graduated from Perry high school in 1923 and continued her education with a business course at the Chillicothe Business at Chillicothe, Missouri. In 1925 she began working as Deputy Court Clerk of Noble County under Horace Dolezal. On April 4, 1928, she and Floyd Ray Laird were married in a quiet ceremony at the Methodist Church parsonage in Perry. They established their home in Perry for a number of years before moving to California.

They spent 26 of her 43 California years in Sonoma County. She was a homemaker and member of Presbyterian Church of the Roses.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Laird, Santa Rosa; her son, Jerry Laird, Lafayette; her brother, William Mugler, Calgary, Alberta; her sister, Martha McGee, Perry, Okla., and four granchildren. Her daughter, Marilyn Ann, preceded her in death.

Inurnment will be private. Daniels Chapel of the Roses made arrangements. Memorial donations are preferred to American Cancer Society, 826 St. Helena Ave., Santa Rosa, 95902.
