Services for Mrs. Anna Belle Watkins, 77, of 2323 33rd St., Moline, IL, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Wendt Brothers Funeral Home, Moline. Dr. J. William Jones of First United Methodist Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the organ fund of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Watkins died Friday in Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City, Okla. She was visiting sisters in Perry, Okla.
Anna Belle Hendren was born in Shelbina, Mo. to Jonah H. and Cora Ophelia (Brengle) Hendren. She graduated with the Perry high school class of 1919. On May 30, 1920, she and John D. Watkins in 1920 in Perry, Okla. He died in 1950.
She was a member of the Lend-A-Hand Circle of King’s Daughters and the Philethea Class.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William Schoenherr, Danville; two sons, Drs. John D. and Dan H. Watkins, Moline; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Brewster and Mrs. Sadie Freeman, both of Perry, Okla., and Mrs. Beulah Hurt, Whitewright, Tex., and a brother, Glen Hendren, Moline.
