Elizabeth (Watson) Huckabay

Elizabeth Watson Huckabay, 95, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Rhodes, pastor, officiating. burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Foskey Lilley McGill Funeral Home.

Mrs. Huckabay was born March 24, 1906 in Oklahoma to Henry Bruce and Maud Eleanor (Bryant) Watson. She graduated from Perry high school in 1924.

She moved to Dimmitt, Texas in 1932 and taught school in Dimmitt for 20 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Harriett Goodwin of Dimmitt, a son, Nelson W. “Bill” Stephenson of Dimmitt, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
