Dr. George Buchanan Kryder
June 16, 1893 – November 19, 1943
Dr. George B. Kryder, 51, of 1437 East Mountain street, Glendale, Calif., died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday, November 19, 1943.
Born June 15, 1893, he was the adopted son of William Richard and Luella R. (Witter) Kryder. Unusually active in school affairs, he graduated from Perry high school in 1913. He was employed at the post office during his residence here. He graduated from Kansas university, Lawrence, Kan. with a medical degree. He continued his education in Chicago and started practice in Orangeville, Ill. About 15 years ago he moved to the west coast and had since become one of the leading pediatricians in southern California.
Survivors include the widow, the former Garnet Dalton, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Homeyer of Glendale; a son, George Kryder, Jr., who is a medical student in the enlisted reserve and is now studying at the University of California; his mother, Mrs. William Kryder of Freeport, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Herrington of Bloomington, Ill.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California.
