Thelma (Lovell) Rood

July 28, 1912 – April 8, 1993

Mrs. Thelma L. Rood of Frederick, Maryland died Thursday, April 8, at Citizens Nursing Home. She was the wife of Frank E. Rood.

Born in Perry, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Ira and Minnie Ash Lovell.

Mrs. Rood was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Southern Methodist University, Texas. She was a teacher, retiring from the Frederick County Board of Education in 1974. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Mitchell D. Rood of Frederick; two grandchildren, Marshall Rood and Dallas Rood, both of Frederick; and three sisters, Fannie Powell of Texas, Doris Heppler of Oklahoma and Vivian Melugin of Kansas.

Mrs. Rood was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
