Dorotha J. Winkler

November 19, 1913 – February 9, 1991

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian church for Dorotha Winkler, 77, south of Perry. Miss Winkler died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday at Presbyterian hospital at Oklahoma City.

Rev. Alden Hickman, interim pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview cemetery, south of Perry, under direction of Brown Funeral home. Memorials may be made to benefit the First Presbyterian church.

Miss Winkler was born Nov. 19, 1913, south of Perry. Her parents were John and Mabel Winkler. She attended Fairview school and was a graduate of Perry high school and Oklahoma A&M.

She taught in Noble county rural schools and had worked at Moore Chevrolet, the state highway department and the Noble county assessor’s office before she retired.

Miss Winkler was a member of the First Presbyterian church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Among survivors are four nieces, Martha Parks Harrisberg, Tulsa; Lucern Parks Webber, Northbrook, Ill; Marlene Winkler Beery, Yukon; and Cherelyn Winkler Wade, St. Mary’s, Georgia; three nephews, Charles Moody Parks, no town listed; Dennis Parks, Houston, Texas; and Charles Martin Winkler, Norman; a sister-in-law, Earlene Lovely, Guthrie; and a cousin, Dillon Woodard, Comanche.
