Eugenia (Edwards) Cary
March 31, 1899 – October 19, 1986
Eugenia Cary, 87, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday. Born March 31, 1899, to Edward Brace and Daisy (Sanders) Edwards, she graduated from Perry high school in 1918.
Mrs. Cary was also a graduate of Oklahoma A & M with a BA in education, a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity for women, the China Assn., The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Crown Heights Christian Church, and Eastern Star.
She and Homer R. Cary were married on June 8, 1925, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1985. They were married 60 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Carol Moore of Roscoe TX.; son, Homer Cary Jr. of Dallas; a sister, Carmelita Griffin of Tulsa; 5 grandchildren, Steve Moore, Linda Moore, Brett Moore, Charlotte Lee, and Laura Cary; great-grandchildren, Vernon Moore, Brandy Moore and Kelly Moore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Bill Merritt Chapel, Bethany.
