Phyllis Enid (Yeager) Weatherby

June 25, 1912 – April 2, 1994

Phyllis Weatherby, 81, Oklahoma City, formerly of Perry, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 1994, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.

Graveside rites were at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Hill cemetery in Perry under direction of Brown Funeral home. Rev. Ken Waddell, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiated.

Mrs. Weatherby was born in Perry, June 25, 1912, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Henry) Yeager. She graduated from Perry high school in 1931 and took a post graduate course.

She and Preston Weatherby were married in Tulsa on Dec. 22, 1932. She and her husband traveled in 46 of the United States when he was employed and visited in Mexico and Paris, France, and other parts of Europe following his retirement. Weatherby preceded his wife in death on March 21, 1992.

Survivors include one son, Preston Weatherby Jr., Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Ethel Lynn Ballasarious, Paris, France; two granddaughters, three sisters, Hortense Lewallen, Pawnee, Betty Ferguson, Oklahoma City, and Joyce Rozza, Palo Alto, Calif.; and one brother, Kenneth Yeager, Tulsa.
