Hazel Ann (Scott) Postelwait

July 14, 1899 – August 2, 1975

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist church for Mrs. Charles (Hazel Ann) Postelwait, 76, who died unexpectedly at her home, 422 Ivanhoe street, at 6:40 a.m. Saturday.

Rev. Hollis Morris, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Carmel cemetery, north of Perry, under direction of the Parker funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist church elevator fund.

She was born July 14, 1899, in Perry, to John Henry and Catherine Augusta (Richardson) Scott. She was born, married and died at the same address, 422 Ivanhoe street. She was a member of the First Baptist church.

She and Charles Postelwait were married in Perry on Sept. 23, 1920.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, John W. Postelwait, Arkansas City, and Richard E. Postelwait, Perry; Three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Sunderland, Enid; Mrs. James (Dorothy) Pontious, Enid, and Mrs. Ronnie (Barbara) Blair, Enid, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Iva) Shoop, Perry, and Mrs. Ed (Etta) Brand, Woodward. Sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

One brother preceded her in death.
