Joseph George Taylor was born to Eugene “Gene” E. and Ollie May (McMillen) Taylor at Lucien, Oklahoma, on March 12, 1911 and died August 30, 1928. The larger part of his life was spent at Lucien, the family moving to Perry in the fall of 1922, where he entered Perry schools and has been active in school activities.

He was a member of the Junior class this year.

He was taken down with Typhoid Fever three weeks ago and it was thought for a time he was improving , but on Wednesday he took a change for the worse and died the following day.

On coming to Perry he had united with the Presbyterian church and he had attended church and Sunday school here since that time.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Saturday afternoon with Rev. George Parkhurst, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Rev. David Thomas, pastor of the Presbyterian church, was out of the city.

Burial was made in the Lucien cemetery.
