Margaret Lou Bittman

January 11, 1934 – September 3, 1997

Former Perryan, Margaret Bittman, 63, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, in St. Louis, MO, where she made her home.

Funeral mass will be held Friday in St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Shrewsbury. Graveside rites are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic cemetery at Perry under direction of Trout Funeral home of Ponca City.

Ms. Bittman was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Carl and Inabel Bittman.

A graduate of Perry high school, she also graduated from Lindenwood college at St. Charles, MO. Ms. Bittman worked in radio and television until she retired.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church, Lions club and various other civic organization.

Survivors include her father, Carl Bittman, Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Larry Bittman, Ponca City, and Richard Bittman, Amarillo, TX; and one sister Lee Beakey, Raleigh.

Ms. Bittman was preceded in death by her mother.
