Stanly S. Nemec

June 12, 1916 – August 8, 1977

Funeral has been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist church for Stanly Nemec, 61, 916 Sixth street, who died at 6 a.m. Monday at Perry Memorial hospital after an illness of three and one-half years.

Rev William Higgins, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Parker Funeral home.

Born June 12, 1916, at Perry, to John and Christina Nemec, he was a lifelong resident of the Perry area. He had farmed north of Perry and had been a county road patrol operator.

He was a 1935 graduate of Perry high school and attended Ponca City business college. He was married Aug. 24, 1940, at Guthrie, to the former Helen Soulek, who survives. Nemec was a member of the First United Methodist church of Perry.

In addition to his wife, of the home, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Jean) McNabb, Perry; a son, John Nemec, Perry; two sisters, Mrs. Glen Henry, Ponca City; and Mrs. Ervin Lampe, Perry; and five grandchildren.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research foundation for cancer research or the Methodist memorial fund.
