Patsy Ruth (Hetherington) Patterson

August 16, 1934 – September 18, 1998

Patsy R. Patterson, 64, Enid, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at Integris Bass Hospital at Enid.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Henninger-Allen Funeral home at Enid. Rev. Monte Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research.

Mrs. Patterson was the daughter of Dale and Ruth (Perkins) Heatherington. She was born in Perry on Aug. 16, 1934.

She was a Perry High School graduate and received her degree in nursing from Southwestern State College.

She moved to Enid in 1958 and worked as a nurse at Bass and St. Mary’s hospitals and the Methodist Home.

One grandson and a sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis McDonald, Daniel McDonald and Jeff Patterson, all of Enid; one daughter, Marna Patterson, Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren, one brother Marvin “Buddy” Heatherington, Ponca City; three step-sisters, Iva Bell Barry and Ada Stahl, both of Enid, and Dixie McHenry, Osborne, KS; and one step-brother, Bud Campbell, Muskogee.
