Leonard Hollander, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hollander, 1510 Seventh street, was born Dec, 8, 1953, in Enid. Prior to coming to Perry in November, 1964, he attended classes in Lawton. He is a member of FFA; was in wrestling two years, and was a member of the band in both grade school and high school. Vocational agriculture is his favorite subject and hunting and fishing are his hobbies. His plans for the future are indefinite.
Leonard Gus Hollander

Leonard Gus Hollander was born on December 8, 1953, in Enid, Oklahoma. He died on November 21, 2019, in Perry Oklahoma.
Leonard graduated from Perry High School in 1972. A carpenter by trade for years, he started by renovating homes, then working for a commercial building company before moving back to settle in Perry. Through the years he worked for Coast to Coast, then later in the lumber yard at True Value Hardware, as a long and short haul truck driver, on drilling rigs, and at a salt water disposal well.
For many years Leonard was an active member and leader with the Perry Elks Lodge where he participated in volunteer activities such as the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Gerald Hollander, mother, Eileen Hollander Phillips, and brother, Richard Hollander.
Survivors include son, Douglas Hollander and children Madison and Hudson; daughter, Debra Hollander and her children Avery and Ollie; brother, Ray Hollander; sisters, Patty Ritthaler and husband Randy; Nancy Hurst and husband David; Linda Miller and husband Allen; Brenda Woolery and husband Troy; Judy Koch and husband Bruce; and sister-in-law, Mary Hollander along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to invite all who knew and loved Leonard to a memorial gathering for him on his birthday, December 8, 2019, from 2 to 4 at the Elks Lodge in Perry.
