Eda Lee Schieffer
– daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Schieffer, route one, Perry, was born in Perry and has lived here during all her 18 years. She attended White school, Pleasant Hill and St. Joseph’s academy before enrolling in Perry high school which she has attended for four years.
Eda Lee is a member of the Catholic church, the Catholic study club, of which she was president last year, and the church choir. She plans to attend A. and M. college at Stillwater this summer.

She was born on February 11, 1925, at Perry, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Chris and Anna Mae Schieffer.
She was raised at Perry and was a volunteer with CONTACT help line, Alanon and Alateen. She worked with legislators and the Mental Health Association to help people understand alcoholism.
She moved to Star City in 1995 with her oldest daughter and had been a resident of Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past year. She helped with crafts and represented the nursing home in a beauty pageant this past year.
Survivors include a son, Michael Cruse of Hattieville (Conway County); two daughters, Diane Abercrombie of Star City and Barbara Coghill of Yukon, Oklahoma; a brother; five sisters; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Brown Funeral Home at Perry. Burial was in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery at Perry. Arrangements were handled by Griffin Funeral Service of Star City.
