Charlene Ann Bezdicek plans to enroll in a business school following graduation and later plans to enroll in a school for beauticians. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Bezdicek, 101 Cedar street, and was born Dec. 4, 1947, in Perry. She was a member of Red Hots, 1962-64; all school review, 1962-63; Christmas vespers, 1962-63; home economics fashion show, 1962-63; and Spanish assembly, 1962-63. Problems of American Democracy is her favorite subject.

Charlene Ann (Bezdicek) Shields

December 4, 1947 – April 1, 1978

Mrs. Jim (Charlene Ann) Shields, 30, 12606 East 19th street, Tulsa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bezdicek, Perry, died at 9:28 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma Osteopathic hospital at Tulsa.

Mrs. Shields was born Dec. 4, 1947, at Perry. She was a 1965 graduate of Perry high school. She and Jim Shields were married Oct. 21, 1974, at Versailles, Ky. She entered the hospital at Tulsa March 29.

In addition to her parents of 101 Cedar street, and her husband, of the home address in Tulsa, survivors are two sons, Don Tersa and Jayson Flint, of the home; grandparents, Mrs. Martha Spillman, 1314 Ivanhoe street, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bezdicek, south of Perry; a brother, Robert Bezdicek, Enid; and two sisters, Tanna Lynn Bezdicek and Kimberly Kay Bezdicek, both of Perry.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian church of Perry with Rev. M. R. Work, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.
