Irene Minnie (Passow) Gallagher

June 19, 1914 – August 23, 1966


Mrs. Irene M. Gallagher, 52, of Oklahoma City, former Perry beauty shop operator, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Perry Memorial hospital where she had been a patient one week.

Services will he at 2 p.m. Friday in Christ Lutheran church, with Rev. J. Poole and Rev. V. Gloe of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Newton funeral home.

Mrs. Gallagher was born June 19, 1914, in Penn, N.D., and moved here with her family from North Dakota in 1920. She attended Perry schools, and operated the Beauty Box salon here until 1948, when she moved to Oklahoma City. She continued working there as a beautician until becoming ill one year ago.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran church, Oklahoma City.

She was married in 1942 to Mike Gallagher, who preceded her in death in 1964.

Survivors include a son, Mike, of the home in Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bodkins, Winfield, Kan.; and seven brothers, Irvin, Fred and Dr. Norman Passow, Perry; Clarence Passow, Red Rock; Victor Passow, Emporia, Kan.; James Passow, Los Angeles; and Rev. Earl Passow, Harbor City, Calif.
