Florence Ruth (Hicks) Holba

December 7, 1921 – July 19, 2002

Ruth Holba, 80 of Perry, was born in Perry, Oklahoma on December 7, 1921 and died Friday morning, July 19, 2002, from a farm accident at her residence.

She was the daughter of Elmer Edwin and Elizabeth Mary (Knepper) Hicks.

Ruth married Edwin Holba on May 11, 1947, at the First Baptist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time at the Perry Senior Citizens Center.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at the First Christian Church in Perry with Kent Reubell officiating. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Perry Senior Citizens.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Edwin, of the home; two sons, David Holba and his wife Darlene, of Stillwater, Oklahoma and James Holba and his wife Marie, of Billings, Oklahoma; two sisters, Rose Marie Culp, of Enid, Oklahoma and Coralie Baker of Florida; three granddaughters, Arnie Duvall, of Kiowa, Kansas, Michelle Newman, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas and Amanda Holba, of Billings, Oklahoma; and one grandson, Robert Holba, of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
