Junior Duncan

– 17-year-old son of J. A. Duncan, route 3, Perry, was born at Perry and attended Barrett school, district 81, before coming to Perry high school.

Junior has been a member of the F.F.A. for four years and was president of the organization in his senior year and was a member of the judging team three years.

Farming will be the occupation of Junior before he enters the armed services and he intends to continue farming at the close of the war.

James Alva Duncan, Jr.

July 19, 1926 – September 15, 1983

James Alva Duncan, Jr., 57, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday at a Fayetteville hospital.

Born July 19, 1926, at Perry, Okla., the son of James and Marie Rittaller Duncan, Sr., he was a retired building maintenance worker, a member of the Christian Church, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Springdale american Legion.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Duncan, of the home; two sons, Benny of Paris, Ark., and Harold of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Vicki Rock of Rogers and Mrs. Joan Cooper of Port McGoo, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Marie Duncan of Perry, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Hulda Henry and Mrs. Lois Moore, both of Perry, Okla., and Mrs. Shirley Moody of Norman, Okla., and two grandchildren.
