Leo Edman King

– was inducted into the navy as a volunteer February 20 of this year and at present is studying navigation in the Hawaiian islands.

Leo is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George King, 1112 Elm, and was born in Clovis, New Mexico, February 24, 1926. He was a member of the student council from 1942 until his induction into the navy. Leo was also a member of the Alpha Eta organization, DeJolay, the Baptist church, and active in basketball and football in Perry high school.

He received his grade schooling in Pawhuska, Pawnee and in Perry.

Leo King, 83, of Paris, Arkansas, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, in Booneville, AR.

He was born February 24, 1926, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Mr. & Mrs. George King.

He was a Safety Engineer for Penrod Oil Company in Oklahoma for many years.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eleanor (Christy) King; one son, Butch King and a sister, Joann Boyd.

Leo is survived by one daughter, J. J. Hurley (Bill), of Paris, AR.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home, Paris, AR.
