John “Marvin” Braden

September 3, 1903 – May 28, 1935

Marvin Braden, 32, son of Mrs. Marie Braden living west of Perry, who was seriously injured when kicked by a horse Monday afternoon died in an Enid hospital Tuesday night.

Braden was born in Iowa and moved to Noble county in 1911, graduating from the Perry high school in 1922 where he was active in athletics and music and one of the popular members of his classes. Since that time he has been a successful farmer.

His father, John Braden died in 1926 and since that time he has had charge of the farm operations, being considered one of the most efficient farmers in the county.

Besides his mother he is survived by a sister, Margaret Braden Meeks of Clovis, N.M. and a brother, John J Braden of Stillwater.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon from the church in Lucien with the Reverend David Thomas, pastor of the Presbyterian church in Perry officiating. Burial will be in the McGuire cemetery under direction of the Davis Funeral home.
