George Franklin Moore, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore, 914 Jackson street, is uncertain about future plans. He was born June 30, 1940, in Drumright and has lived here since 1953. He previously attended Drumright schools. Moore was in his freshman and senior class assemblies and has participated in track, wrestling, and baseball. His hobby is fishing, plus other sports, and his favorite subject is Problems of American Democracy.

George Franklin “Frank” Moore, Jr.

June 30, 1940 – August 12, 2014

George Franklin “Frank” Moore, Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.

Born June 30, 1940, in Drumright, Oklahoma, he was the first child of George Franklin Moore Sr. and Mary Melinda Moore. In 1954, his family moved to Perry, Oklahoma, where he attended school and graduated from Perry High School in 1958. Frank moved to Tulsa following graduation and attended Draughan’s Business College.

On December 20, 1962, he married the love of his life, Donna Jacobs in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Frank joined the Air Force and he and Donna lived in Del Rio, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona, during his time of service.

For the past 21 years, Frank worked at Abrasive Specialty and the family appreciates all of the support, care, and concern they gave to him during his illness.

He and Donna attended Bethany Free Will Baptist Church.

Frank was predeceased by his father and mother, and his brother-in-law Loren Hafner.

His Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 16, at the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church at 2 pm, with the burial following at Floral Haven Cemetery.
