Joyce Joan (Yeager) Rozza

Joyce Joan Rozza, 88, of Duncan, Oklahoma, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Henry) Yeager.

She was born August 4, 1917, at Morrison, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at her home.

Joyce attended Perry High School until 1933 when her family moved to Billings, OK. She graduated from Billings high school in 1935 and continued her education at Draughn’s Business College in Oklahoma City.

She was a homemaker who loved flowers, gardening, playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles and her “Sugar Baby.” Joyce was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Linda Rozza, of Duncan, Oklahoma and Nancy Smith, of Seattle, Washington; five granddaughters, Debi Shelton and her husband, Keny, and Jessica Smith, all of Seattle, Washington, Brenda Hurley, of Duncan, Oklahoma, Kimmie Smith of Seattle Washington and Georgie Connell and her husband, Travis, of Bellingham, Washington: two grandsons, Trey Stout and his wife, Laura, of Gunner, Texas and 1st Lieutenant Micah Smith of Seattle, Washington; two great-grandsons, Jason Kaye and Jake Kaye both of Seattle, Washington; four great-granddaughters, Brittany Kaye, of Seattle, Washington, Emily Harless, of Gunner, Texas, and Aubrey Hurley and Emma Hurley, both of Duncan, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Gracen Connell, of Bellingham, Washington; and two sisters, Bettye Ferguson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Hortense Lewallen, of Pawnee, Oklahoma.

Her parents, Fred and Myrtle Yeager, one sister, Phyllis Weatherly, and two brothers, Ken Yeager and Fred Yeager, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2006, at the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Rev. Dick Lewallen will officiate. Memorials may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
