Dorothy Ellen Passow

– daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Passow of route 1, Lucien, wants to work after her graduation from PHS, but has not decided definitely what she wants to do.

She was born July 30, 1927, at Lucien, and attended grade school at Lucien and in the Perry Lutheran school.

She is a member of the Lutheran Walther League.

Dorothy Vasek, 92, passed on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Perry, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 2:00pm at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on July 30, 1927 to Albert and Edna (Moelling) Passow. She grew up in Perry, went to Christ Lutheran School as a child, and graduated from Perry High School in 1945.

On May 24, 1946, she and Louis A. Vasek were married at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. They purchased their home in Perry in 1953. He predeceased her in 2004.

She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, unit 3 group.

She enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds, reading, working crossword puzzles, going to church, and spending time with her children and all her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Lila Mae Passow.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Vasek and wife, Grovella, and Kenny Vasek and wife, Sharon; her daughter, Margie Janzen and husband, George; grandchildren, Jason Janzen, Austin Janzen, Donny Morris, Courtney Vasek, Sabrina Vasek, Tammy Vasek, Kathy Vasek, Angie Payne, and Timothy Vasek; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
