Paul Lester Plumer

Services for Paul L. Plumer, 78, Tyler, TX, are pending with Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Plumer died Monday afternoon in a Tyler hospital.
He was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Perry, Okla., to Louis Gertrude “Girtha” (Scrivner) Plumer. He graduated from Perry high school in 1934.
Mr. Plumer was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired in 1971 from Mobil Oil Corp., where he was a district exploration superintendent for 25 years. He was also a retired self-employed landman and a member of the East Texas and American Association of Petroleum Land-men.
He was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church and Hollytree Country Club.
He lived in Tyler since 1973.
Mr. Plumer was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Jean Warne, in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Martin) Plumer, Tyler; one daughter, Sondra Jones, Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, Charles Plumer, Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Aleen Caudill, Houston, Betty Van Tuyl, Slidell, La., and Margaret Black, Salem, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
