Herbert Adrian Hirschman

October 11, 1916 — May 23, 1992

H.A. “Herb” Hirschman, 324 Music Lane, died of natural causes Saturday in St. Mary’s Hospital. He was 75.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction, CO, with the Rev. Thomas Smatla officiating. Cremation will precede the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 622 White Ave., Grand Junction 81501.

He owned the Credit Bureau of Grand Junction before retiring and was a Grand Junction resident for 36 years.

He was born Oct. 11, 1916, to Charles P. and Niona Ellis Hirschman in Perry, Okla., where he spent his childhood and graduated from high school. He graduated from Tulsa Business College.

Mr. Hirschman married Bernice Allen on Dec. 12, 1939, in Tulsa. She survives.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as an elder. He also was a member of the Lions Club and had served as chairman of the Mesa County Republican Party.

His hobbies included watching and feeding birds, playing golf, woodworking, gardening and fishing.

Other survivors include three daughters, Beverly Hartman and Barbara Milburn, both of Grand Junction, and Bonnie Kratovil of Weston, W.Va.; and a brother, Dwaine of Bella Vista, Ark.
