Dr. Norman Elmer Passow

December 30, 1916 – June 22, 1989

Dr. Norman Passow, 72, longtime Perry chiropractor, died unexpectedly at 4 p.m. Thursday at his home at 616 Sixth street.

Passow was born Dec. 30, 1916, at Penn, N.D. His parents were William and Ida Passow. He moved to Perry from North Dakota in 1923 and graduated from Perry high school in 1934.

He and the former Wilma Freeze were married at San Bernardino, Calif., on May 15, 1943.

Passow was a United States Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic college. Passow was a member of Christ Lutheran church.

In addition to Mrs. Passow, of the home, survivors include one daughter, Tana Nelson, Guymon; a son, Mark Passow, Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Victor Passow, Topeka, Kan., and James Passow, Hollywood, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Passow was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran church. Rev. Myron C. Maltz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral home. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran church.
