Katherine O. “Katie” (Crawford) Carlton

January 20, 1890 – July 23, 1980

Katie O. Carlton, 90, who came to Arizona 10 years ago from Oklahoma, died July 23, 1980, at the Kingman Health Care Center, Kingman, Arizona.

Born January 20, 1890, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Willis and Melvina (Mecum) Crawford. She graduated from Perry High School in 1906 and continued her education at Epworth University, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

On October 11, 1906, she and William Dee Carlton were married in Carter, Oklahoma.

She is survived by sons, Elvis and Coy; daughters, Edith Burton, Nona Brown, Dorothy Robbins and Lucille Irvin; three sisters; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at the Tucker Funeral Home in Kingman.
