Niona (Ellis) Hirschman

October 28, 1887 – October 29, 1964

Mrs. Charles (Nina) Hirschman, 77, died Thursday at the Methodist Manor, Tulsa, following an illness of three years.

Mrs. Hirschman was born Oct. 28, 1887, at Sedalia, Mo., to John Franklin and Lavaria (Naylor) Ellis. She graduated from Perry High School in 1906 and was married Nov. 1, 1915, to Charles P. Hirschman in Oklahoma. Her husband died in 1950.

She lived in Perry until 1938 when she moved to Tulsa. She returned to Perry in 1953 and lived here until 1960 when she entered Methodist Manor.

She was a member of the Methodist church and a past grand chief of the Pythian Sisters of the state of Oklahoma.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert Hirschman, Grand Junction, Colo., and Duaine Hirschman, Tulsa, and six grandchildren.

Last rites will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the First Methodist church with Rev. Paul Hively, pastor of the church, officiating and burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.
