Zella (Marchbanks) Dolezal

Mrs. Horace S. (Zella) Dolezal, 54, 703 Grove street, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday at her home following an illness of 18 months.

Mrs. Dolezal was born July 2, 1896, in Perry, to Jesse E. and Eva (Scoville) Marchbanks. She graduated from Perry High School in 1917 and was married to Horace S. Dolezal June 23, 1920, in Pawnee.

Mrs. Dolezal was a member of the Presbyterian church and the American Legion auxiliary.

Her husband, Horace, served as Noble County court clerk from 1921 to 1928. The couple moved to Battle Mountain, Nev., in 1937, and lived there until last year when they returned to Perry. The Dolezal family are long-time residents of the Perry area.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Gertrude) Laird, Sr., of Enid, and Miss Annetta Marchbanks of Perry; and two brothers, Bob and Ernest Marchbanks of Perry.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Newton funeral home. Rev. John Westin, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.
