Gordon Lillie Abel

October 1, 1933 – September 4, 2001

Gordon Abel, 67, Perry, was born October 1, 1933 in Pilot Point, Texas. He was the son of James Monroe and Viola M. (Cole) Abel. He died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at Perry Memorial Hospital.

Abel was the owner of a vending sales business and was of the Methodist faith.

Graveside rites will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2001 at Grace Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ron Weathers officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Brown-Sisson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Abel was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are a son, Craig Abel, a grandson, Jared Abel, and a granddaughter, Cassy Abel, all of Auckland, New Zealand; a sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Dennis Davis, Milton, Kansas; and a niece, Deah Rhodes and her husband, Frank, and a nephew, Steven Davis and his wife,
Stacey, all of Wichita, Kansas.
