Mary (Embrey) Crill

1903 – September 25, 1981

Mary Crill, Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 25, 1981.

Born in Kansas, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Embrey. She graduated from Perry High School in 1922.

She and Frederick Morton Crill were married July 9, 1922, in Guthrie. They moved to Fort Worth, Texas, shortly after they were married, where he was the owner of the Jennings Avenue Barber Shop.

They had one daughter, Betty Jo. After Mr. Crill’s death in 1957, Mrs. Crill worked as the shop manager and receptionist at her daughter’s beauty shop.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jo Bouchler, Laurel, Maryland; sister, Daisy Dobbins, Winfield, Kansas; brothers, Jack Embrey, Winfield, Kansas, Lloyd Embrey, Fresno, California, Ralph Embrey, Denver, Colorado, and Edward Embrey, Silver Spring, Maryland; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas, with Rev. Jack Coots officiating.
