Orville Callison

November 2, 1913 – July 21, 1932

Orville Callison, 18-year-old Perry youth, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at a Tulsa hospital where he had been taken Wednesday afternoon after blood poisoning had set in from an injured limb.

Born November 2, 1913, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Callison, of Perry.

The youth was forced to leave school last fall where he was a junior in the high school, after an infection set in following an injury to his limb. A tumor resulted from the injury later making it necessary to amputate his limb at the knee. He was thought to be well on the road to recovery when the poisoning suddenly set in.

He is survived by his parents and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Perry at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon with Rev. Geo. A Parkhurst in charge of the services and interment was made in the Grace Hill Cemetery.
