Mr. Darrell Dean Karcher of Perry passed away December 17, 2020.

He was born on September 5, 1952, the son of Ewald Rudolph Karcher and Mertie Juanita (Melton) Karcher. Darrell attended Perry schools, graduating from Perry High School in the spring of 1970.

He worked as a truck driver for many years, but he loved running cattle and farming.

Darrell was a baseball fan. He regularly attended the games of his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals.

Darrell loved his family. He was a devoted son who always brought his mom gardenias on Mother’s Day. He also tried his best to spoil the grandkids. They will miss him all the days of their lives.

Darrell leaves behind his son Levi Karcher and his wife Teresa of Perry; daughter Jennifer Karcher and her husband Chris McCord of Washington; son Abraham Karcher of Perry; and grandchildren Madison Kaye Blocker and her husband Aaron, Nathaniel Dean Karcher and his fiancée Justice Gray, Strauss Andrew Karcher, and Willow Marie Karcher, as well as a great-grandson, Hogan Blocker, and sister, Janan Voss, of Stillwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robbie Karcher.

A memorial service will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church of Perry on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 11 a.m. Pastor William Metz will officiate.
