Francis Bertrand “Frank” Bobbitt, Jr.

August 24, 1914 – December 1, 1996

Francis Bobbitt, Jr., 82, died on December 1, 1996, in Boise, Idaho.

Born Aug. 24, 1914, in Perry, Oklahoma, he was the son of Francis Sr. and Mabel Bobbitt. He graduated from Perry High School in 1933.

After the death of his mother, Bobbitt and his father moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, where they were in the floral business.

In October 1940 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps at Fort McDowell, Angel Island, California.

Bobbitt and Alice Alaire Hamlin were married on March 2, 1943, in Casper, Wyoming. In 1946 they moved to Boise, Idaho, where they made their home. He and his wife enjoyed traveling.

In 1951 he reenlisted in the military and served until the end of 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Bert” and Mabel Bobbitt; one granddaughter, Stephanie Kroll; and one brother, William Bobbitt.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; daughters Peggy (Fred) Kroll, Suzanne McCampbell, and Nancy (David) Emerson; a granddaughter, Jennifer; and a sister, Eleanor Faulkner.

Interment will be at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise, Idaho.
