Elvina Alma (Wilde) Evans

Elvina Evans, 79, died April 28, 1994, in Seattle, Washington, where she had been living.

Born Elvina Wilde, on March 9, 1915, she was the daughter of Fred and Friedrika (Karcher) Wilde, who farmed in the Black Bear township area of Noble County, Oklahoma. Elvina had four brothers and a sister. She graduated from Perry High School in 1933.

On July 21, 1935, she and J. D. Evans of Ponca City were married.

They lived in Ponca City until the late 1930s where J. D. was employed by Continental Oil Co. as a statistical clerk. By 1940 they moved to Niobrara County, Wyoming, followed by a move to Larned, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 7, 1998.

Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Mrs. Keith (Connie) Kelm and Mrs. David (Sheryl) Schermerhorn, and grandchildren.
