Verna Bell (Hoover) Worwag

March 1, 1891 – December 13, 1973

Verna Bell Worwag, 82, died December 31, 1973, at Sabetha, Kansas.

Born March 1, 1891, she was the daughter of Charles and Alma (Lanning) Hoover. She graduated from Perry High School in 1908.

An accomplished and capable woman, she served four years in the county treasurer’s office at Perry, and from there went to the American Nation Bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was employed for several years.

On May 5, 1920, she and William Worwag were married at the Congregational parsonage in Sabetha, Kansas, where they made their home and were the proprietors of a grocery store.

Mrs. Worwag is survived by her husband, daughter Alma Grace, and son William.

Burial will be at the Sabetha Cemetery in Sabetha, Kansas.
