Maxine Marie Gengler

After having been born in Perry on May 8, 1928, Maxine Marie Gengler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gengler of route 1, Perry, attended grade school at Fairview district 30.

She is a member of RRF social club, the Catholic Study club, Teen Town and high school glee club. She was in her junior class play.

Business college is her post-graduation aim.

Maxine Marie (Gengler) Wheelock

May 8, 1928 – April 7, 1982

Mrs. Maxine Marie (Gengler) Wheelock, 53, Oklahoma City, formerly of Perry, died Friday morning at Baptist Memorial hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Wheelock was born May 8, 1928, in Perry to Harry and Gertrude Gengler. She attended Perry schools before moving to Oklahoma City.

Survivors include three sons, Randall Wheelock, Idaho Springs, Colo., John Wheelock and David Wheelock, both of Norman; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Sims, a missionary who frequently serves overseas; two brothers, Bill Gengler, northeast of Perry, and Dr. Robert H. Gengler, Enid; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Lehmkuhl, Birmingham, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

A wake has been set for 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Kernke funeral home in Oklahoma City. Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Bonomeo Catholic church in Oklahoma City. Burial will be at approximately 4 p.m. Monday at the Catholic cemetery at Perry. Memorials have been invited for St. Charles Bonomeo Catholic church in Oklahoma City, the cancer fund or choice of a charity.
