James Milton Johnston, Jr.

August 19, 1912 – May 30, 1979

James Milton Johnston, Jr., 66, died May 30, 1979, in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Born August 19, 1912, in Perry, Oklahoma, he was the son of James Milton and Anise G. (Vaughn) Johnston. He graduated from Perry High School in 1930.

On January 8, 1942, he and Minnie Calaway were married in Oklahoma City. She was a teacher at the Pleasant Grove rural school 5 miles northwest of Seminole.

Mr. Johnston served in WWII and retired as a Veterans Administration contact officer.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie, of the home in Edmond, and a son, Dr. James M. Johnston III, of Oklahoma City.

Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
