Ethel Mae (Morris) Lynn

Ethel Mae (Morris) Lynn, 85, of Oklahoma City passed from this life Thursday morning, October 19, 1989, after a long illness.

She was born January 10, 1904, in Kay County near Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to Edward and Edith Morris. She graduated from Perry High School in 1925.

Ethel married A. A. “Red” Lynn on June 5, 1927. They lived most of their lives in north Oklahoma City, where she was active in Putnam City School activities, Weigelia Garden Club, and Church of the Servant.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Ethel touched many lives and taught us all how to live.

She is survived by her husband, Red, of the home; son and daughter-in law, Earl and Brenda, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Georgia Lynn, of the home; son, Jimmie Dale Lynn, of Plano, Texas; 5 grandchildren; a great-grandson; 3 sisters, Earlene Lovely, of Guthrie, Elvia Gantt, of Perry, and Edna Barnes, of Yukon.

Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Memorial may be made to the Oklahoma Research Foundation.
