Barbara Bontrager is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bontrager, West Fir avenue. She was born in Stillwater May 11, 1950. She has been in the Honor Society, pep club, and FTA since 1966; annual staff 1965-68; twirler 1965-67; band 1965-67; stage band 1965-66; newspaper staff 1967-68; wrestling queen 1965-66; superior rating in clarinet trio at district; junior and senior plays; superior rating in piano solo Tri-State festival; newspaper production manager; voted prettiest senior girl; and was a junior Rotarian. Advanced composition is her favorite subject and piano and horseback riding are hobbies. She will enroll at Stephens college, Columbia, Mo., and plans to become a nurse or social worker.
Barbara “Barbie” (Bontrager) Wilkins

Barbara Bontrager Wilkins, 72, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away July 7, 2022.
Barbara, or Barbie as many friends called her, was born May 11, 1950, in Perry, Oklahoma, to A.J. and Frances Bontrager.
She led a rewarding teaching career until her retirement in 2015. In her retirement, Barbara enjoyed painting and learning new skills like the ukulele and carpentry.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Frances Bontrager, and her older brother, Mike Bontrager.
She is survived by her sons Zach and Kamden Seat, her daughter Sarah Wilkins, and her grandchildren Sequojah O’Neil-Johnson, Sheila Seat, Devon Wilkins, Joshua Seat, and Avery Williams.
